IANS periodically sponsors ANS topical meetings and workshops to support efforts to expand nuclear science & technology nationally and internationally. Some of the past events we've supported are shown here.

TopFuel 2016 - Light Water Reactor (LWR) Fuel Performance Meeting

Top Fuel, also called Light Water Reactor (LWR) Fuel Performance Meeting, is an annual topical meeting organized by the American Nuclear Society, the European Nuclear Society, the Atomic Energy Society of Japan, the Chinese Nuclear Society and the Korean Nuclear Society. Top Fuel's primary objective is to bring together leading specialists in LWR fuel from around the world to analyze advances in nuclear fuel technology and to use the findings of the latest cutting-edge research to help manufacture the high performance nuclear fuels of today and tomorrow. This event was held in Boise, Idaho from Sept. 11-16, 2016.

PHSYOR 2016 - Physics of Reactors Conference

The Physics of Reactors (PHYSOR) conferences, held every two years, represent a series of international forums organized to bring together worldwide expertise related to reactor physics, nuclear reactor research and analysis and related topical areas.  PHYSOR 2016: Unifying Theory and Experiments in the 21st Century focused on both modeling/simulation & experimental aspects of reactor physics and exploration of common aspects and requirements of the two focus areas. The meeting included plenary discussions, technical tours, workshops, and sessions in other topics relevant to the physics of nuclear reactor systems. This event was held in Sun Valley, Idaho on May 1-5, 2016.
